We had the best Easter Sunday in a most unexpected way.
With a little one who still takes a daily nap, we have to schedule our outings accordingly.
Our kids were having such a great time at their cousins’ house on Easter Sunday.
My husband’s brother and his wife are amazing hosts.
They made sure lunch was on the table in time for our youngest to go home and take a nap.
The sun was shining, so we ate outside.
A post-lunch badminton game lured the cousins away from the Easter-themed Rice Krispie treats we brought.
The adults were getting a chance to actually talk without all of the kids needing something.
We didn’t want it to end.
So my husband asked if I wanted to try to get our son to nap in their guest bedroom.
I agreed, and my brother-in-law and sister-in-law quickly set up the guest bedroom for me to use.
Our son napped….on me.
As I was laying on the pull out couch bed, I could hear the sounds of laughter from the cousin playing together.
I could hear my husband getting to talk to his brother, uninterrupted by kids.
When our son woke up on me, we went back outside to join the others.
