Our son did something completely unexpected last weekend.
He hit an inside the park home run.
Since February, he had been working so hard on improving his swing.
He listened to all of the hitting tips his coaches and my husband gave him.
As soon as I saw the ball go deep in the outfield, I knew he had a chance to run fast enough to get a home run.
He never looked at where the ball went.
He just kept watching his coach at third base, giving him the windmill sign to run hard all the way around the bases.
His teammates were going wild in the dugout when he crossed home plate.
It was so rewarding to see all of our son’s hard work pay off.
When you stay focused on the process, the results will eventually come.
Here’s to finding happiness in the small things in life,
Lauren
