Yesterday morning, I had to pick up the uniforms for my tee ball team.
The jerseys and hats had arrived.
Our youngest daughter was so excited the whole drive over there.
She was wondering what color they would be.
Purple is her favorite color.
So, I was worried she would be disappointed if they weren’t a lavender hue.
Instead, I was the one who ended up disappointed.
I walked up to the uniform pick up station with our daughter and our 2.5 year-old son by my side.
As the head coach, I had to tell them my name and our team’s name to make sure they pulled the correct bag of uniforms.
While we were waiting, the man in charge asked my kids this:
“So, which one of you plays tee ball?”
Pointing to my son, who is way too young to play tee ball, he said:
“I’m guessing you, right?”
“No, this is my daughter, and she’s the one playing tee ball,” I answered him.
