Yesterday was our daughter’s first tee ball game.
She was so excited.
But I was so nervous.
There’s one kid on the team I have to watch closely.
He will hit or kick other kids when I’m not looking.
So I was concerned he would act up in the dugout while I was on the field coaching.
I knew I would need to ask another parent to help with the dugout monitoring.
I hate asking for help.
But I really needed it.
Just then another mom came up to me and asked how she could help.
I felt so relieved and grateful.
She did a wonderful job managing the dugout.
I was able to focus on enjoying the game.
I will never forget the look on our daughter’s face after she hit the ball for the first time.
