Yesterday, our youngest daughter came down the stairs in her red tee ball jersey, gray tee ball pants and pink bunny socks.
“I’m ready for my softball game!” she declared.
We had a softball game on TV.
She wanted to play alongside the girls she saw playing softball on TV.
Naturally, she also needed to get her glove and hat on to play her softball game too.
Once we got all of her gear, she was running onto our living room “field.”
She did some pitching and throwing, just like the girls she was watching on TV were doing.
We cheered loudly for her.
She had the biggest giggly grin on her face every time she threw the ball.
Whether it’s softball or basketball, we make a point to watch women’s sports on TV.
Our daughters love watching these college athletes make incredible plays.
They love seeing all of the fans in the stands cheering on these incredible female athletes.
Caitlin Clark will likely get drafted by our city’s WNBA team.
Both our oldest son and daughter have asked if we can buy tickets to her games next season.
We love showing our daughters examples of other strong female athletes.
